To collect, compile and publish statistics/information which are necessary for planning and development of the state

To prepare development plans designed to accelerate the growth and development of the economy

To carry out periodic review of the programmes and projects in the development plans in order to achieve the set objectives of the state government

To prepare annual and supplementary estimates of government which embody development projects and programmes.

To appraise budget performance on bi-annual basis.

To study, analyse and appraise projects with a view to establishing their economic and social feasibilities.

Production and distribution of approved books of estimates.

Preparation of and distribution
of mid-year and full year reports to all Budget Stakeholders.
- Analysis of the Annual Budget.

Conduct of workshop on Budget preparation,implementation and monitoring.
